Arkansas House of Representatives, District 32
Dear friends and constituents,
As you may know, the bulk of the work of an Arkansas state
legislator is accomplished in
the first few months of each term, when we go into legislative
session so as to write and pass
laws that are in the best interest of the people of our state.
Because this is my final term as
your state representative, this means that much of my work as a
state legislator is over. It has
been a privilege to serve as your state representative, and I am
grateful for the support that
the people of west Little Rock have given me.
However, until recently I had not yet taken care of one of my
most important duties: to make
sure that there was a successor candidate for my seat who shared
my, and my district’s,
values. For some time, I have wanted to find a strong candidate
to take my place in the
state legislature who is as committed as I am to traditional
family values, lower taxes, and
a healthy business climate. I am happy to say that I have found
an ideal candidate, and his
name is Allen Kerr.
Allen Kerr is a strong candidate and a good campaigner: he
defeated a Democratic
incumbent in his election to the Quorum Court (the Pulaski
County legislature) last year.
Allen Kerr is an excellent public official; he’s been a strong
voice for improving public safety
while holding the line on taxes. Allen Kerr is a successful
businessman who has become
an effective agent for change in the public sector: he continues
to run his own insurance
business even as his Democratic colleagues on the Quorum Court
asked him to chair the
powerful Budget Committee. And most importantly, Allen Kerr is a
good man, a good
husband and father, and a good listener who shares our values,
as anyone can tell who
spends time talking to him.
In short, Allen Kerr would bring to the Arkansas General
Assembly exactly what it needs:
an effective representative of our community who will promote
good policies and good
values, and who will make us proud. When Allen Kerr announced
his candidacy for the state
legislature last month, state representative Dan Greenberg and I
immediately endorsed him.
Next year at the ballot box, I hope you will do the same.
Sincerely,
Sid Rosenbaum
